Meet the Parksland Humans & Cats
Dustin & Emily
Dustin started Parksland Retreat in 2017 and early retired from his day job in 2022 to run the retreat full-time. Emily joined him in 2023. Both Dustin and Emily are enthusiastic about nature and sustainability. They are always looking for ways to live more sustainably and share their passion with others.
Dave & Julie
Dave and Julie are Dustin’s parents.
They moved to Parksland from Dustin’s hometown in Oregon. Julie started a laser-cutting business called Julz Laser Magic and is often found at local art festivals. Dave enjoys mycology and making drums.
Fireball
Fireball is a chunky orange cat
who loves affection.
Don’t pet his belly, though!
Blueberry
Blueberry is the “OG” Parklands kitty and shyest of the three. She doesn’t have a tail, but she doesn’t let that stop her from being a loveable creature.
Lola
Lola is a Russian Siberian forest cat, which is a low-allergen breed. She loves cuddles and face scratches.
